About Anna

I joined Awdry Law in 2018 having spent ten years working for another law firm and qualified as a Solicitor in the Commercial department in February 2021 in our Marlborough office.

My role covers a variety of work including commercial leases, purchasing and selling plots of land and commercial properties and lease assignments. I have particular experience of acting on behalf of clients and lenders in respect of mortgages and bridging finance and also carry out the sale and purchase of complex or high value residential property.

Examples of work:

  • Purchase of a former chicken farm with planning permission for 5 residential dwellings incorporating commercial development finance
  • Sale of a substantial listed town house with commercial element
  • Acquisition of a lease for a Harley Street medical practice
  • Purchase of a large commercial property with occupational leases to an international lender and national betting chain
  • Managing the leasehold portfolio for an engineering company

Three things people don’t know about you:

  • Before studying law, I was a professional horse rider and instructor and twice competed at the national dressage championships.
  • My family life includes two small children, one Labrador, two horses and William the pony.
  • I enjoy skiing in France and Italy but my small children are already quicker than me!
