Partner and Head of Commercial Property

About Louise

I joined Awdry Law in September 2025 from a regional law firm in the South West. Having qualified in 2007, I have many years of experience in the legal property sector, with a focus on commercial property, alongside experience in residential property—particularly in mixed-use transactions. I advise both businesses and private individuals on a wide range of property matters, including:

  • Sale of commercial property in all sectors;
  • Acquisition of commercial property and mixed use property, to include advising on existing tenancies;
  • Acting for both landlords and tenants in leasehold matters, to include all management work required during the life of the lease;
  • Acting for borrowers in obtaining secured lending and refinancing of property;
  • Acting for insolvency practitioners in the sale of distressed properties, which enables me to also give commercial advice to those acquiring distressed properties.

Examples of work

  • Acting in the share sale of a property company, to include resolving many complex property issues;
  • Acting for a well known retailer in respect of management of their property portfolio;
  • Acting for a care home provider in the sale of their property portfolio;
  • Sale of mixed use property, to include grant of long leases back to the seller;
  • Purchase of multiple mixed use properties for a local developer

Outside of work

Outside of work, I can normally be found out and about running or swimming (the colder the water the better) and spending time with my young family, usually at an Arsenal WSL game.
