Career Stories

Beth Garrett

I qualified as a Barrister in 2016, before taking time out to raise my children and run a successful small business designing and manufacturing children’s furniture. In 2022, I returned to family law, re-qualifying as a solicitor and pursuing my passion in supporting people through what are often the most challenging times of their lives.

I joined Awdry Law in 2024, where I am proud to work alongside a dedicated and supportive team who share my commitment to delivering practical, empathetic advice.

The family team at Awdry Law are truly amazing. We work closely together, and from my very first day I have felt genuinely welcomed and valued as part of the team.

Since joining Awdry Law, I have had the opportunity to run a free legal clinic for the Nelson Trust, supporting vulnerable women, who have often experienced traumatic events, including domestic abuse. This is an experience I have found deeply rewarding.

Awdry Law have also been hugely supportive of me as a parent, enabling me to work flexibly and balance my family life alongside my career.
