About Jeanie

I am a Senior Associate solicitor specialising in Private Client, which means my day can range from dealing with an estate, drafting Wills or advising clients on lasting powers of attorney, trusts and tax.

I began my journey at Awdry Law as a private client secretary and once I proved myself, I was offered and subsequently completed my training contract, qualifying in 2021. Awdry Law have always encouraged me with opportunities to push myself, advance my career and engage in meaningful work that makes a difference. I work with brilliant people and our department has thrived over recent years, growing by two thirds!

I have a genuine passion for building lasting relationships with clients and I enjoy guiding individuals and families as they plan for the future. I understand the importance of thoughtful, personalised planning and I take pride in being a trusted advisor through significant life events.

In addition to my client-focused practice, I am grateful to Awdry Law for allowing me to launch the firm’s Sustainable Development Goals, aligning with the United Nations’ initiative to transform our world. I am enthusiastic about implementing changes that contribute to the five goals we have selected, while enhancing the local community and supporting causes that resonate with our values.

Three things people don’t know about you:

  • I am a big Rugby fan and enjoy going to support Royal Wootton Bassett RFC, whom my partner plays for.
  • I have a very large family and spend a lot of time travelling around the country to spend time with them, from Aberdeen in Scotland to St Ives in Cornwall.
  • I enjoy walking/hiking (recently climbing Snowdon and Scafell Pike) and playing squash or badminton with my four brothers.
What clients say about Jeanie

“We were grateful to deal with you. Very helpful and friendly, able to explain things clearly and put us at ease. Very helpful to have a home visit. Thank you.”

“Very empathetic and professional. Gave us very clear advice and was always available to answer our questions.”

“We wanted a Power of Attorney set up for us. Being in our 80’s we did find all the paperwork very daunting but all we had to do was pick up the phone and they were able to explain and put   our minds at rest.”
