In 2022, I began my career at Awdry Law as a Marketing Apprentice. I had the opportunity to work closely alongside the Head of Marketing, engaging in a diverse array of tasks while simultaneously pursuing my professional Digital Marketing qualifications.
One of my most significant achievements during this time was playing a crucial role in the rebranding of the firm from Awdry Bailey & Douglas to Awdry Law. This involved the creation of a new name, logo, website, as well as the design of new collateral, signage, and merchandise. Being an integral part of this transformation was incredibly rewarding, and even more so now (two years on) that I can see the success of the rebrand.
The apprenticeship route provided me with a comprehensive understanding of the marketing field, allowing me to acquire valuable skills and knowledge within a working environment.
In July 2023, my dedication and hard work were recognised with a promotion to Marketing Executive. In this role, I took on greater responsibilities, including managing the firm’s marketing strategy and advertising activities, including campaign planning, content creation, social media management, event coordination, and general business development.
Throughout my time as Marketing Executive, my confidence has grown exceptionally, and each new challenge and responsibility has validated my capabilities and contributed to my career progression.
As of April 1st 2025, I am pleased to have achieved another milestone in my career with a promotion to Marketing Manager. Joining the Leadership Team, I now have the privilege of working more closely with the Heads of Departments to strategise and implement initiatives that support the firms’ goals and growth.
My reflections
Reflecting on my journey at Awdry Law so far, I am incredibly grateful to have received unwavering support from the Management Board, as their commitment to my growth has been instrumental in my rapid advancement.
Traveling across all the offices and interacting with numerous colleagues has reinforced my belief in the importance of a positive work environment. The enthusiasm from all the people here encourages me to continue suggesting and developing new and unique marketing ideas and projects.
My journey from Marketing Apprentice to Marketing Manager within just three years at Awdry Law is a testament to my hard work, dedication, and the supportive environment that Awdry Law cultivates. I hope that it serves as an inspiration to those pursuing an apprenticeship and highlights the significance of a nurturing and progressive workplace.
