I graduated from the University of the West of England with a Law with Business LLB Qualifying Law Degree in July 2020.
Graduating in 2020 was particularly challenging given that my final lectures and exams were sat in my bedroom due to the worldwide lockdown (and I didn’t even get a graduation ceremony at the end of it all!) but this did allow me to prove how resilient I was in a different way to usual and I am very grateful for that.
Graduating at this time also made it very difficult to find full time work, especially within the Legal profession. In 2021 I worked within the Conveyancing sector at a company that provides searches to Law firms and gained invaluable administrative experience as well as experience surrounding the Conveyancing process.
After a year within this role, I applied to become a Conveyancing Paralegal and I joined Awdry Law in January 2022.
I am very grateful to Awdry Law as after being here for just over a year, in April 2023, they allowed me to progress to running my own small caseload, whilst still supporting other Lawyers within the team. This has allowed me to build on my organisational skills and efficiency greatly and I also love being able to build relationships with my clients and assist them through, what can be, a very stressful time in their lives.
I started my SQE in October 2023 and everyone here at Awdry Law are so supportive and encouraging. Studying alongside full time work is, of course, very hard work but my team appreciate this and assist me wherever possible.
I’m excited to continue progressing my career here and hopefully qualify as a Solicitor at the start of 2025.
