About Dean

I started my IT career over 30 years ago as a software developer, since then I have had the opportunity to learn a range of IT disciplines in a number of organisations, including banks, publishers, education and now Awdry Law. I have always been fascinated with the seemingly infinite possibilities technology offers.

If someone had told me 30 years ago, I would be walking around the Wiltshire countryside with a small device in my pocket from which I can see my location on a live map, speak face to face (virtually) to anyone in the world at any time, I would have said it was science fiction, but here we are!

Outside of work, I enjoy anything to do with the natural world, particularly birds of prey which I am lucky enough to see frequently whilst out walking my dogs. I am a keen photographer which allows me to mix my interests in technology and my creativity.

Three things people don't know about you:

• I am the proud father of a son and a daughter, and an equally proud Grandpa of three.
• I have been an avid Formula 1 fan since the early 90’s.
• At a launch event in London, whilst running up some stairs I almost mowed down the Chancellor of the Exchequer at the time, Gordon Brown.
